Regular soap and water is really all you need although antibacterial soap isn't too bad if you don't use it too often. It is true that the bacteria that you don't get become resistant and can multiply. So you don't end up doing anymore good using antibacterial soap. And it can actually do more harm than good if used a lot and if used constantly over a long period of time.
Like any other scientific experiment, you need a control group along with your test group.

1) don't wash your hands and touch everything in the room
2) then touch the agar with your and incubate it over night
3) then wash your hands thoroughly with the antibacterial soap
4) with a sterile agar plate, touch your clean fingers to the agar and incubate the agar overnight
the next day, you can see , that there are a lot of bacteria growing on the first agar plate and hardly any, if any bacteria, on the 2nd plate.
